Hello, thought I'd best introduce myself
I'm from northern Europe, Sweden to be precise (which is why I named the topic "greetings from the cold"). I've been painting miniatures since 1994, that's, what? 13 years already! Feels like I began painting only yesterday! To pay for rent I "work" with painting minis, I accept commissions from people mostly to paint warhammer 40k miniatures or armies. Speaking of warhammer 40k, for all of those 13 years painting 12 have been spent on 40k, the first year I painted warhammer fantasy and it was only recently that I began to appreciate other minis than Games Workshops range (from which I own pretty much every model). As I've recently grown a bit tired of 40k I began looking around for something new to paint and this is how I found "Mad Puppet Miniatures". Immediately knowing that I had to get the "jigsaw" model and soon there after realizing that the cyborg bust was to cool not to own I ordered them and am now waiting for my very first non-GW models to paint. I'm very much looking forward to them as they are both great sculpts (or seem to be judging from the pictures on the site) and I think they will both be rather enjoyable to paint.
I look forward to posting up some pictures of my progress and hope to add to the forums in a good way. Although as I will be entering military service the 28th of January you may not see me around here that often after that.

Hey Pete,
Welcome to the forums!
13 years... nice mark ^^, i started in 1993, but i left painting during 4-5years until 1999 that i returned, since then...never stopped
